Our house-made apple pie is made with a buttery cinnamon apple sugar filling with a touch of lemon in a flaky crust. Simple yet sublime. 9-inch pie. Serves 6-8 fine pieces of pie.
The apples are sourced from an orchard in Southern Illinois, and were tree-ripened this season. The apples are peeled, cored, and sliced and made into filling with a touch of lemon, cinnamon, and sugar.
The full crust is made from scratch with butter/vegan butter and flour, and is rolled out by hand. The pie is then baked in until golden brown, cooled and boxed for pick-up. Eat cold, at room temperature, or warm in a medium oven with square of foil over the crust.
