Poached Figs

These are the Brown Turkey figs from Our Garden @ Ferry Place in New Orleans. They are poached and preserved in a lightly sweet LA cane sugar simple syrup, and seasoned with a touch of cinnamon and allspice.

These are the very essence of holiday figs, and are great for cheese boards, charcuterie, or just to eat straight from the jar. They are also great for baking, and can be used in a variety of desserts.
